Dan undertook a first degree in neuroscience before training as a nurse and working at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, for six years. During his time at the Hallamshire, Dan completed an MMedSci in nursing and healthcare studies and lectured on pre- and post-registration nursing courses within the School of Nursing at the University of Sheffield. Following this he took up the post of research advisor at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Dan joined the Sheffield Teaching Hospital’s Research Department with responsibility for advising researchers on research governance and taking a lead on research education.
Dan is the co-facilitator of the Yorkshire and Humber Region Royal College of Nursing Research Society. Dan now is a visiting researcher at Lab4Living
