‘Whose Diabetes…?’ exhibit on tour 19/06/2012

On Friday the 1st of June we invited the participants from our ‘Whose Diabetes Is It?’ study to the official opening of an exhibition held at Boots pharmacy in Meadowhall.

The exhibition showcases the ideas developed by the young people and the dragons at our Dragon’s Den event. The stand was officially opened by Boots Meadowhall manager, James Stout and  Mark Cobb, Clinical Director of Professional Services at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The travelling exhibition spent a week in Boots before being relocated to ‘Community Corner’ at the main entrance to Rotherham Hospital. Its next planned stop will be  Barnsley Hospital from mid- July.

It was great to see so many of the participants and their friends and relatives at the opening event, offering an opportunity for the young people to show-off the project they have been involved in over the last twelve months.
