Before and after critical design 15/09/2011

Simon was recently invited to join an international online discussion about Critical Design. Critical Design is where things are designed to encourage people to think about the world differently, such as the role of electronic products in our lives and the possible implications of cutting edge science. Simon developed a form of Critical Design in his PhD that enables people to innovate. We may use this in our Diabetes project.

The one-day discussion was hosted on the Design Research Network website and included people from the UK, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and the United States. You can read all the discussions on the DRNetwork website, including a session that Simon led on “Critical Design Outside The Gallery”.
